Scope :

The project is currently implemented in 30 factories (15 in Cairo & 15 in Alexandria) by four core experts two for each Governorate. EnviGlobe works as core expert in Cairo to apply the Med-Test II principles in eight factories. The demonstrated companies with EnviGlobe are as the following:

Implementing Energy Bench-marking in the Egyptian Ceramics Sector

Scope :

The project seeks to address some of the key barriers to industrial energy efficiency (IEE), to deliver measurable results and to make an impact on how Egyptian industries manage energy through an integrated approach that combines capacity building and technical assistance interventions at the policy and energy efficiency project level.

Energy saving in the Egyptian Food Sector Phase II

Client :

Egyptian National Cleaner Production Center (ENCPC)

Scope :

The project surveyed the food sector (14 Companies) in Egypt to assess the needs of this sector for energy saving consultation. Project activities include: a survey of energy and water consumption including measurements through site visits by senior engineers and consultants to suggest recommendations for three categories of energy saving alternatives as the following:
• No Cost / Low Cost Options
• Medium Cost Options
• Investment Cost Options
Each Alternative or option supported by required calculations for the potential saving, the CO2 reduction or COD and BOD reduction, the expected investment and the payback period. All of no cost / low cost options and some of medium and investment cost options implemented during the project period, which generated success stories published by USAID.

Scope :

The project scope is to transfer of Environmentally Sound Technology Program to harness the full potential of Industry contribution to Inclusive and Sustainable Development (ISID) in the South of Mediterranean Region – Egypt. the project implemented in 16 factories at hot spots areas in Alexandria Governorate. It achieved successful results and generated a lot of creative options for the demonstrated companies to save their resources in terms of raw materials, energy and water. Switchmed published success stories for Med-Test I in Egypt in its website.
